Question TRF511 & LiPo Saddle Size

Hi all,

There are lots of separate discussions on this but I can't find the specific answer... if you know which thread it's hiding in please feel free to point me in the correct direction (and therefore sorry for the redundant post).

My question - what is the maximum size in mm (HxLxD) of a LiPo saddle pack that will fit in a TRF511 (i.e. not a TRF501x) without modification to either chassis or batteryt pack?

Thanks in anticipation...

If I get time I will have a look, but I think my trakpowers just fit, maybe because I removed the heat shrink. To fit the yongtong cells I dremeled the centre bulkhead slightly and fitted slightly shorter screws to the top deck.

Remembering off the top of my head the gap is just under 23mm, maybe 22.8, but that leaves no room for chassis flex so you'd want to be lower again.

I've got round it by simply mounting the cells further out so they don't touch the bulkhead, but this does mean you can't use cells with locator bumps on

Unless you can run them upside down, not sure!?

Oh, you also need spacers under the battery posts to raise them as well, and I found it a very tight fit length wise!
