A great name indeed but will it be a great team...
Gascoyne is no Chapman! |

Who knows what will happen, F1 is all over the place right now in terms of team performance. It would be nice to see Lotus do well though.

I think Force India have proved that you can never really write anyone off at the moment - They've gone from nothing to being genuinely one of the top 3 quickest cars on the grid in the last couple of races and it's nice to see a "small" team make such big improvements...
I can't wait to see the Lotus cars though, imagine if they went for the Camel Colours in plain yellow with blue details again..... or JPS or even the Castrol / Loctite colours (also sponsored by Tamiya)!

That was my exact point Nick. An old skool paint job would really look the mutts.

I don’t want to piss on the bonfire, as a motorsport fan I love the idea of a proper hethel-based, or at least UK based Lotus F1 team. But this is just a group of investors putting together a team then jamming an iconic, unrelated, name on it for media purposes. Who do they think they’re kidding? I guess I’m still bitter about what Ford did with Jag, but really this should just be called Malaysia F1.
Virtual tenner says they don’t make the grid.
