Default Local "Racers" Model shop......................

Guys
Im just trying to gauge interest in opening a possible "racers" model shop up here in tyne and wear, Sunderland to be exact.
I myself race 8th Nitro and used to race 10th electric back in the 90's NOBBY and maybe a few others know who i am.
My plan is for a shop geared up purely for racers with no toy boats/dolls houses in sight, i know that we are crying out for such a shop in the 8th scale rallycross world but are things the same in the 10th scale off road ?
Just a bit of feedback would be appreciated from you guys as to whether there is a gap in the market. Also what sort of things you would like to be stocked (aside from the obvious) would be a help.
Thanks James Price.....

Oh and Chris (NOBBY) you have a PM

There is definately the need for one in the area, the only one in that area that i know of is model active and that is pretty crap, i think good stocks of tyres and spares are the main things that keep people coming through the door.
It would be nice to see some kits and stuff on display too but i think as long as you have a lot of spares for a good range of cars then you will do well.

Good luck

The last model shop worth going to was the county house opposite the centre for life in Newcastle.
One of the lads that raced with us worked there so he would order us anything we wanted. There is a shop in Whitburn that, again can get mostly anything but they are not the fastest in getting orders together.
I find it just as easy shopping online and normally get the orders within a couple of days.
Good luck in your venture but shopping online beats trailing to a shop to find that the bits you want have just been sold etc!
If you fancied getting a warehouse and building an off road track inside with a shop attached then i would say that would be a good idea! Good luck

All the way to Germany & Back, how could I forget

I had tried to stop racing after that but just couldn't do it
