Just wondering what part of the full-size car "scene" you are most into - and whether that has a big influence on why you are into RC?
I'm going to try and create a poll and maybe you could give some comments too. Personally speaking, I think I got into RC before I got into motorsport, now for me RC is like my own version of F1 (or touring cars in the 90s heyday). I spend all day dicking around with setups and still qualify with the Force Indias! |

I was gonna say rallying but then I realised I don't really like it that much. . I like off road stuff - in fact, I like buggies. One day I'd like to go watch some in mexico or somewhere, that'd be ace!

There is no option for all the above (except F1).
I was brought up around classic and vintage cars, dad has always had old sports cars, vintage tourers, wedding cars - so I was dragged around car shows frequently. So when I started to drive, I got into Mini's, then when insurance dropped started making them fast and modified. Then when i crashed one, I went away from Mini's and had a Fiesta, went to cruises and stuff. Ive also done a little bit of real off-roading in Range Rovers, not time trials but gate trials - or whatever you call that. In the past I have followed various track racers - F1 stock cars at Belle Vue & Bradford, Mighty Mini's at Oulton Park, classic car events, concours and rallys etc. If im going to watch motorsport on TV, then will watch WRC as I really admire the skill and balls those guys have. Love it. F1 I can take it or leave it, if it is on then will just put the last few laps on. Chris |

I did choose Rally, but thats most like CORR or Motocross (off-road and jumps)
I do like some of the tactics motorsports too, unlike Ash, I understand that NASCAR is not just about how fast you race, but its about how well you run the pack, how you play your pitstops, fuel mileage and also the last 10 lap 'sprint' at the end. I don't like touring cars, FWD is WWD (Wrong Wheel Drive) LeMans and other prototype racing series where the cars are very specifically designed for their purpose. much like our off-road cars are. |

I like the stratagy side of racing but i preffer to see people pulling off ace moves i have to say i loved massa's move at the weekend. I like touring cars due tothe close racing. Any racing that doesnt need to turn very much is a bit rubbish IMO.

F1 all the way! This only to see if I can see my best friend who works for Bridgestone fitting tyres for the Teams. What a job for a single person. Travel the world with the most richest people and not have to put you hand in your pocket as its all payed for by Bridgestone.

Classic cars for me. I would do anything to have 15 minutes behind the wheel of an Alfa Spider or one of the original Honda 2 seater sports cars with the awesome high-revving engines!

F1, MotoGP, SX, MX are my favourite to watch - F1 in the flesh is like nothing you've ever seen or heard, it certainly gets the hairs on the back of your neck going!! Agree the racing isn't always that great but i think the pure spectacle, speed and amazing grip the cars generate is enough to keep me excited - plus you obviously get to see some awesome driving at times.
MotoGP is again just so fast and action packed i don't see how anyone could get bored watching it, some heroic riding in every single race and some awesome close racing. Supercross and motorcross are always going to be up there for me though, having followed it from an early age and had various family members racing and pitting for people (My Dad and his Brother pitted for Andy Nichol who was British 250cc Champ in the mid 80's) i have always loved it. I think it makes great racing and is obviously impressive with the huge jumps in today's supercross, but i still love the grit and determination side of a proper MX track in the wet!

i went to the '96 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, and it was pretty awesome. I was all set to cheer Damon Hill on to victory, but he went out in the 26th laps i think... balls
![]() ![]() The noise from the engines is absolutely deafening, that was the thing that i remember the most. Trying to get out of the car park was a nightmare after though, the queues were that bad, people were cracking open the bbq's and cooking food on them whilst we waited. i fell asleep for 2 hours, and when i woke up, we hadn't moved ![]() |

It has to be rallying for me, I've always been involved in rallying to a greater or lesser degree. My dad rallied when I was younger and he still co-drives from time to time. It was also rallying that got me into photography but I was going to 10-15 rallys to spectate so I decided I would try my hand at taking pictures at them.
