Hi there
I prepare to do my first pant job on a truck body. The question is if I will use a 2 clors scheme let say red and black is it realy necasary to back it with white?? Or can I paint the red parts and after that cover the hole inside with black????? |

Backing the red with white will make it a brighter colour.
If you back the red with black it may look darker than you want. I would paint the black first, then the red. If you want the red to be a brighter colour then buy some white paint, if its ok (and not transparent) then it will be ok without any backing. It depends on the paint you are using and how much you put on. You could cut some bits from the edge of the body (if its not cut out) and test the paint on them and see how it looks with just red, and red backed with black.

backing colors effect the color on top, even if its only the slightest bit.
do your black first then the red bits and back the red whit white or whatever your choice. backing it with black wont ruin it, depending how much red you put on, but it wont make it pop like white would. if it saves time and is more convenient for you do the red bits first,back with white then do the black bits. depending on the paints/types you use will alter the finish also |
