Everyone on the site (with the exception of Welshy40) will agree the B4 is the better car.
You driving the B4 should beat you driving the B3.

If you set it up correctly and add a B4 layshaft and slipper plates and pads plus 81t spur for B4 then yes with ease. Only problem with this car is they didnt design the car with long enough Ujs so you cant raise it too high so causes problems on big jumps.

There are a lot of people who say the same, its not easy to dial and the older associated cars are much easier to set up and more fun to drive. Unsure on the new car though but wont be buying it.

Its just you Welshbo.

Why would anybody design a car to be harder to setup, slower, less fun? They wouldn't.

When the B3 was the current car, 2wd majority was Losi XXX. Then when the B4 came out, it quickly became the majority - and Losi XXX and the BK2 which then came out was left behind. Why do you think this happened? It was because the B4 was significantly better than any other 2wd car and I reckon still is.

XXX4? Better in the US, but not here.

I'm currently playing with an RC10 much older than a B4 - a team car from 1990. And in Trucks I run a similar vintage RC10T.
Both may be old, but can keep up just fine. The people that beat me I couldn't beat with a brand new X6, the people I beat wouldn't beat me whatever I drove.
They may be a little slower, but not enough that the driver isn't much more important.

Interestingly though I really didn't like my B4 when I had one. I gave up on 2wd after owning a B4, but running an RC10 has really brought the fun back.

2000 would be the last time. I may pop down one day mate to give your track a go but need to find longer ujs or longer drive cups so i can get more ground clearance.

have to say the b3 is a much more forgiving car to drive, much easier to set up and drive than the b4 is, b4 is much more edgy and when setup right is very fast. i bet if you gave a decent club driver both cars to drive, with the same kit inside them they would say the b4 is faster and set a better time with the b3. b2 with a later b3 shock tower on the back went very well too

Problem is i want more height so need to work out how to get 2 or 3mm more length on my ujs. Will be fun working it out after ive finished working on my 4wd.

Dodgydiy

Try putting a B4 layshaft, slipper plates and spur and its much quicker than the original slipper.

After an admittedly brief scan through that thread (you owe me 6 minutes of my life back, BTW...) I found 4 B4 haters and 3 B3 haters
