Default Tom Cockerill / Schumacher takes the 2010 BRCA 2WD National Title at Stotfold.

In a closely fought 2WD championship, Tom Cockerill took the overall win in the 2010 BRCA National series at the very last final of the day at the final meeting of the year held at Stotfold on Saturday the 14th August 2010.

It wasn't the way Tom would have liked to take the championship - sitting in the B final and marshalling the A, Tom got to watch the proceedings. Ellis Stafford would need to win the meeting to snatch it away from Tom and with one win a piece between Ellis and Kevin Lee, it was down to the last leg of the A to decide the overall championship positions.
Tom watch with a smile as Kevin Lee walked away from the rest to take the victory - knowing he'd retained his lead in the series and therefore the title was his and sponsors Schumacher and Speed Passion.

A full report on the Stotfold national will be on oOple.com soon!

In the end there was a three way tie on the same points between Tom, Ellis and Lee and the result came down to a tie breaker (best counting scores) and Tom comes out on top, Ellis second and Lee third....

The fact that Kevin Lee took the TQ and win today (and fought hard for it all the way) and pipped Ellis to the "130" points they needed, meant Tom ran out champion.

At least we at X-Factory cannot be accused of team driving or team orders (a la Ferrari) since if we did Kev would have let Ellis take the easy win in leg two and we would have a different champion now.......

Well done to Tom and all at Schumcaher and a hard fought win over the season.....

Very odd situation indeed. Similar things have happened before, on the continent!

At Team X-Factory, we are our own main rivals

Nice to see Kev has the congratulations he deserved... from one of his sponsors. After all this is toy car racing!!!
Please dont misquote anything I have supposed to have said or not said and to clarify I have NO owners, I own and run both DMS Racing and X-Factory UK with no other directors or partners...

You also question my comments that there were no team orders, there were not, Kevin knew the FULL situation both for his own personal result and the teams and he was allowed to make his own decision on what he thought was right or wrong, he was not ordered by me to do anything...Kevin will confirm this.

I was one of the very first to shake Kevins hand and congratulate him on his win when he came down from leg 3 as I was also one of the first 3 or 4 to congratulate Tom also on his achievement too.

It is TOY car racing for some yes and you also have to remember it is business for others too, they are entitled to their opinion, especially when "toy" car race teams and employing drivers to try to win championships costs them money, lots of it too each and every season....

You may want to think things through a little better with the correct facts before you post next time John, if you have anything else you would like to know or discuss on the topic you have my number feel free to call me...
