brushless motor shimming and bearing change
Ive started to mess about with my 17.5t motor and with tweaking and info from this site it now pulls 6a free revving.
Now want to shim and look at fitting better bearings. Are they simply press out like the old 540 brushed motor cans?

Yes, they press out. However, you may need quite a press to do it. I haven't tried it but if I were to do so I would heat up the aluminium housing a bit first and tap the bearing our using a drift through the centre. To fit a new bearing I would heat the housing again and then drift a new bearing back in with something that fits on the outside race only.
Hopefully someone has done it and can give better information. HTH |

Hi
you can use a motor bearing puller, something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Muchmore-R...YAAOSw2x1XLfbl |
