Default 2013 BRCA North West Meeting

Hi guys,

Would the North West guys prefer the clubs to get together and decide on what will happen or would you like an open meeting so anyone can come and show interest in what we do in 2013?

I'm happy for it to be an open meeting to ensure we receive the opinions of as many drivers as possible. However, to help with logistics, any final voting should be restricted to one rep from each club.

Stu,
The clubs' elected committee member(s) should carry their general members views to the NW BRCA committee meeting and vote on the format and arrangements for the coming year. If certain drivers wish to influence the planning, they can answer your post, and better still explain to their BRCA club rep what they want. That club rep can then gauge the feelings of his members and vote accordingly.

If we have 5 clubs, 2 meetings each, 3 from 5 to count in both classes - job done. I would still separate 2wd and 4wd meetings, but that's for your committee to decide.

From a personal point of view I thought last year went very well considering the confusion at the outset. Yourself and the clubs involved deserve a vote of thanks for that - and you certainly have mine.

But this needs to be done quickly now. The biggest criticism last year was the late announcement of decision and dates.

Thanks again for the time and effort you are spending on this.

Eddie

i thik the clubs beed to have a meeting with stu same as last year and soon as dates need to be set, it was short notice last year with dates getting changed ,
as for classes, yea southport gets very busy with everyone wanting to race and maybe classes should be split , but the other clubs like southlakes and barrow could run both classes on the same day

For information here are the attendances from last year...

2WD
R1 = 83 , R2 = 63, R3 = 54, R4 = 47

4WD
R1 = 54 , R2 = 22, R3 = 49, R4 = 28

With the exception of 2WD Rnd 1 the attendances are not really big enough to justify meetings of split classes. The problem with running on the same day however is that more people choose to do 2 classes. Its a choice between a rock and a hard place.

I don't know if 2 classes on one day, but drivers restricted to one class could be an option?

Eric/Woody,

Referees - Yes marshall 10 (Senior/Experienced Racer)
Scruteneering - Size only / any tyres
Trophies - No
Booking in fee's - normally £7.00 for online booking in or £15.00 for on the day booking in (per class)

Both classes on one day, one leg finals for all (Avoid Kampenhaut Belgium GP weekend lol!!)

People that book in for all events get prority over people only booking in for one or two.

Run Southport Regonal after the National as there is the Easter Egg meeting just before the national.

Failure to marshall your heat, you loose your fastest time. Failure to marshall your final, your disqualified.

Tony

i would personally like the north west regionals to return back to one day out of the weekend either saturday or sunday both classes run on same day like its always been.
i dont want to this year have to commit to two days its just to much time away from home, so will have to make the decision to which class i run this year if its run like last season.
cheers jamie

Yes, I like the idea of running both 4wd and 2wd on the same day, if it is possible. I imagine this would be difficult at Southport and Bury but it does mean that the series can be spread more evenly over the summer. We just need a good summer this year!!!!!

Changes that need to be made in my opinion as others have all mentioned!

North west region is for north west drivers
Both to run on same day as they use to going back to 2009 and previous years.
Tracks wise I'm not bothered but ideally not too far away as per last year!

Default North West Regional

Hi Guys

Been reading this article and didn't want to say much as this is the first year that I am doing this region. However you do have to remember that some of us are doing nationals and this region persuaded to come to it cos the region seems to combine 2 & 4wd and that allows you to do some extra racing at national tracks, local tracks etc. Be good to get some decissions as got a few things happening this year and need to sort out the racing etc

Sick of getting beaten by Northy? Who I believe lives in Malton - North Yorkshire!

Unfortunately this argument ran itself out last year, any driver from anywhere in the country can race in any region as long as they only score points in one region.

Default 2 and 4 on the same day?

Drivers doing both classes get double the track knowledge unless we set the track to be different for each class. Not an impossible task I think.
