I am having a small issue with the front end on my ZX-5. I have the kit shocks and all is set up fine but I cant seem to get any droop at all. I have had the shocks in all possible placements, had the shocks off to check it's nothing binding with the arms etc but all to no avail. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and what their solution was. Longer shock shaft ends? Rear shocks on the front? All help greatly appreciated.

I am assuming that you have the shock lengths set to what is recomended in the manual?
I must admit that when I built my ZX5-SP I looked at the amount of droop there was and thought I best be geting some limiters in there all round so I have no idea what the problem may be!!! If you can post up a pic it might be helpful!!! |

Hi mate, yeah all the shock measurements are on the button. I have no limiters in them but there is absolutely no downward movement from the arms when the front of the car is raised off the ground. The rears are perfect which makes the front end even more confusing! I am not registered to any hosting sites so no pics I am afraid
![]() I am thinking I will get some longer shock shaft ends to lengthen the overall measurements of the shaft but I didn't have this problem on any of my other Lazers so not sure what is going wrong here. |

when the zx5 first came out there was a problem with a lack of front droop. stu n i got around this by using a longer ballcup i think the number was la43 but we had to cut 3mm off the threading part of the plastic or it was to long. this added a lot of droop to the front end and balanced it off against the rear. hope this helps

Best way is to buy yokomo front shafts for the BC (not sure if the BX ones are the same length). I bought some Ti ones and NEVER had a problem with my shocks leaking and with MIP blue seals and AE green slime are silky smooth too HTH ....Si
