Default HPI E Firestorm 10T

official site of this car
I recently became the "proud owner" of this truck. It had to replace my Thundertiger Truck which is a copy of the older asso RC10T-truck ... but (IMHO) with cheaper parts and not so reliable.

I 'm planning to drive this electro truck in the EIR-competition in France next weekend.
This is a rather large indoor truck-circuit, on dirt, with BIG jumps. They used the same track for a nitro-competition this weekend.

Is there anybody who can give me some tips about tuning this truck?
I only have the shocks that came with the truck. Will they be ok or do I need sommore types of springs.
Are these shocks good quality?
I guess I could try to swap them for my Losishocks for which I have more springs.

Also, this car does not have bal-diff bit an (empty) gear differential. Can this be filled with silicone oil to yune the diff ...or is this not a good idea?

enfin, all tips are welcome

Well, I raced it in Laon, France at the EuroIndoorRace this weekend.
The track was veeeeery slippery and had some major jumps, so it was not easy to ride, especially with a 2WD-car. I guess the 4WD-buggies had fun, sliding and drifting through the corners
The surface was concrete with some kind of layer of sand-dust-little rocks on top. Unfortunately, on some places, the layer of "gravel" was swepped away, and we were driving on the concrete.

I think almost all my mates had some parts broken, sometims more then once: A-arms, chassis, shocktowers ...

The E-Firestorm proved to be solid. I must admit I drove
securely, didn't take any too big risks, but I too had my share of tumblings and heavy contacts ... with the ground, concrete, and even the wall.
All I broke was an steering block, which after some studying the object seems very tiny and indeed broke on the smallest part.
I would certainly change this item for a metal one if I could find it, to prevent braking in future.

Now, all I would like to find, is a blanc setup-page, so that I can easely take note of the setup I used.
I got the car tuned not to bad in the end, but it still wasn't great. Other Trucks seemed to have more grip and better balance.

Anyone for a blanco setup-sheet?

I was running the stock pinon gear, the next time I drive it I'll stick
some more horsepower in it. 9.5 isnt fast enough for an 1/8 scale track.
I might try my 8.5 novak system instead.
