Thanks for the suggestion but that stuff is already down in all of the grass sections as far as i know (we find it every time we dig it up!!)
Problem is that the grass and earth grow round it surprisingly quickly so we just end up with holes again. If you look at any of the deep ruts that are there they stop when they hit the mesh. In fact i've seen holes forming below it cause the tires can dig in between the mesh. It's also seems to get really slippery when it gets damp, regardless of what tire you use!
