Default Use of Gyro's in 1/10th Off Road

FYI,

recently had an interesting question from a Scottish racer about the use of Gyro's, specifically "Drift Gyro's", in 1/10th off-road racing.

The answer from Paul Worsley as I assumed the case would be:

Hi John,

I am not familiar with the equipment used on 'Drift Cars', but I assume they use a gyro connected to the steering.

If this is the case, they are specifically not allowed at Off-Road events.
With the exception of Speedo programs, anything that directly controls the car (instead of the driver) is not allowed.
Check rules 23.12 and 23.13.

Best regards,
Paul.

Maybe one day someone will come up with something innovative but unfortunately this isn't it. Keep the thinking caps on
