Default are all 17.5t brushless motors equal?

might sound a silly question but Im just wondering if for they are all basically the same but with different branding and pricing, surely if they same winds/kv rating and getting same voltage then they shouldnt differ, or do they?

I currently race with 17.5t in blinky

using a turnigy trackstar motor, it seems to work fine and I have no problems with it, but do notice that others are that in my opinion noticably quicker, obviously I know driving comes into it a huge amount, but it made me wonder if a fancy branded expensive motor would in fact be quicker? but that defeats the point of the 17.5t limit?

sorry for my rambling but as a newbie to brushless Im still learning
