Borrowed one tonight for my 3rd run of the night. Not sure on setup but it was running a geared diff, but thought the car was really good on medium grip carpet.
Had not run the car before, a different handset from the one I normally use and went 2 seconds faster over a 4 minute run than I had done in my previous 2 runs with my B5M which I have been running at the same club for 2 years. Comparable runs and was 0.2 of a second quicker per lap. This will be in part due to someone with a lot more skill than me doing the setup but the car felt planted and easy to drive quickly. |

Good to hear!
This seems to be the story we're hearing from tracks all over the place. These cars have been active in Asia and the USA for a couple of years and their reputation is growing and growing. Jimmy

What about option parts? Noticed the front brace was plastic and are their weight kits available for it?

The front hinge pin brace is alloy,it's the bumper over the top of it that makes it look plastic, with the car being so new weight kits and what's best to use is something that will be worked on i'm sure,i have already made a selection of weights to try on mine,as for option parts i'm fairly sure Kev at inside line has them listed on his website but the car comes with most parts you would upgrade already alloy in the kit, rear hubs, hexes, centre steering arm, hinge pin brace, rear wishbone hangers all come as standard in the kit

First thoughts of S1 v3
DSCF6284.jpg
Ran the car today for the 1st time on home track, medium grip carpet. Had a little help with the setup, soften the front springs and the car felt far better than I had expected. Loads of rear traction on worn mini pin2s and loads of steering. Pretty much kit setup with associated springs and 5000wt oil in the gear diff. Only beaten by a 4wd, 2 F1 drivers and and F2 driver so happy with the result (I'm a F4). Looking forward to the new year and trying on a few other tracks. More set ups will become available as the car establishes itself.

Drove my v3 for the first time yesterday at Broxtowe's Christmas cracker meeting. I've driven a lot of different cars over the years but this one is the most impressive of the lot, nothing I did on track seemed to phase it and I was in front of drivers who were consistently beating me last season. It coped with grippy, slippy and bumpy sections with confidence

I have seen one locally for a great price and was thinking about testing one, SO
Are there any upgrades that are a must have? I have seen the alu idle gears, I really don't want to have to replace the stock ones straight away. Spares? The usual? arms hubs hingepins? Anything else? Ill be using the stock springs or I have a set of AE ones as well. Med High with slicks and addative? Not minipin grip Last edited by OneKiwi; 07-01-2016 at 03:56 PM. |

The usual spares as with most cars but v3 like the other PR cars are looking pretty bulletproof Personally i'm not keen on the kit springs and i use associated springs so you will be fine with using them.

Thanks Jason,
Gear diff as standard? Alu bulkhead or plastic? |

Gear diff is std in the kit, there is a ball diff option, bulkhead is plastic in the kit but there is also an alloy option available,as of yet i can't see any reason to change either.

Thanks, I will give that a shot. Dont want to make any drastic changes as I am overall happy with the way the car drives.

We also went up a spring rate on the rear Neil. Glad to help though, it looked great in the final!
