Default 2wd options

hi, im starting to toy with the idea of getting a micro to play with in my back garden over the summer. Then maybe try and race it semi comptively in the winter. It would need to be pretty maintanence free as i dont want to take precious time away from 1/10th so im after 2wd

What are my options?

with my very brief research ive seen mini t's and tamtech gb-01s to look good

i have electrics so just kit would do

cheers
dan

Only 2WD micros that I know of are the Tamiya things, Losi Mini-T and the near enough unbreakable Thunder tiger Zk2 or Zt2

Since you have some experience, and your own electrics, I'd have to recommend trying to locate a Mini-T Pro since it comes basically as a "roller" with most all of the good bits and pieces you'd need to make it race-worthy and extend its durability a notch or two.
Losi has discontinued the Pro, but there are some out there still available - so look and check around, I'm sure there's one of two to be had somewhere.

write back, or PM me, if you have any questions

Hi Dan,

Just to let you know that COBRA have a Thunder Tiger which has been loaned to the club "long term" by Trackside Spares.

Available for people and newcomers to "try before you buy". I normally take it to the club on Sundays, come down and have a go if you want.

All the best

I have a ZT2. It's nearly unbreakable! Only disadvantage about the car is that it comes with brass bushings and has not any slipper clutch. But that's easy to fix, just change to ball bearings and you can also modify the Losi slipper to fit in ZT2/ZK2. There are also not any options for the car, except Thunder Tiger's own but they cost ££££ but who needs option car for a car that won't break?

In my opinion a ZT2/ZK2 is a good choice. I've a ZT2 with Mamba 6800. I haven't broke a single thing on the car since I bought it! (about a half year ago). The parts are pretty cheap if something will break though

I'll try to convert my ZT2 to a mini-B4 as soon as I've get enough cash to spend on it. Last helicopter crash wasn't so good for my wallet...
