Default Have I lost the plot or does this make sense?

I'm looking at selling my SV and replacing it with a 410R and doing a bit of a VERY basic conversion to 2wd. Basically taking out the front diff and shafts from the slipper forward (not sure what I can do about the front wheels though).

I reckon that with a bit of weight in the right places (I don't know yet what it should be for 2wd) it should trundle round a track ok. To be honest I'm not that into or very good at 2wd and I do it as an extra at the meeting. I tend to go safely round and wait for others to crash so I imagine I could do that in more or less anything.

I'd have a full reserve car in case of any eventuality in the 4wd with my 410 and can just use/buy the same spares.

Does anyone have any other advice or input on what I need to do to go 2wd or can let me know if I've missed something glaringly obvious.

hi ..it would make more sense to me to get a B4 rather than use a durango for two wheel drive ..after all its not designed for 2 wheels ..may be it will work ...but seriously id buy i would not do it

I agree it's not the optimum route, if I was to go normal 2wd though I'd just keep the Cougar. The problem is it's lodged in my mind now and I can't get rid of it. Everyone I've mentioned it too has said it's a bad idea and I think I'm sharp enough to see that but ........

I think that answers my question now, I've got no doubt I'll thank you all some day. I'll probably not go into my plan to convert the Cougar to 4wd, maybe a step too far.
