28t idler gear
Hi guys, just wondering do any of you guys have any problems with this gear I.e melting, teeth wear
If so how long do you get out of the gear before it's completely shot and where do you get your new ones from? Cheers P.s it's for a mad rat I'm running 10.5t on 27t pinion |

Had no problems with mine as yet, did put in the alloy gear and that just seemed to make the gearbox noisy (like a cheap toy car!) so put the std plastic gear back in and its fine! and I've run my XPro at 2 rounds of the Ardent winter series and a few club night
BTW I'm running a 10.5 motor (23 or 24t pinion) with a Tekin speedo (with boost and timing turned way up!! lol )

Hi Mark. As you know, i'm running the exact same setup as yourself, but geared slightly higher.
Just set the slipper up for a bit of give and all should be OK. Upto now i've not had to replace mine. It's endured about 1hr of brushed motor action using the stock clash motor, and about 2 hrs worth of brushless so it's early days yet. I've been trying to find a source for the " HPI Blitz " idler for backup, but i'm having difficulty. |

Thanks guys just seeing what the crack is whether it would be wise to get one in stock ready for when it goes but by the sound of things if you got you slipper set not to aggressive then it shouldn't go to quick
Do any of you guys find parts go on a regular basis if so which ones ( so I know what to stock up on ) |

TQ Race Products has releases and upgraded reinforced idle gear that will work and provide more durability and less noise than the alloy gear option.
You can contact our sales staff at tqpower.service@gmail.com to order. The part number is T02003U.
