Thats what happens when you set your diff too loose, it slips creates heat and melts your pullys.
Diff gear is A3036 Diff balls are A6951 Did you have the copper shims under the diff plates?

At that price I wouldn't have thought they were carbide, so won't last 5 minutes.
Is it a genuine XXXcr diff?? Does one of the diff halves have the male tube machined or is it seperate (you can tell as there is NO flat side or D shape where the the diff rings sit). The diff rings you want are A3039 if it is XXXcr diff.

Lokking from the back of the car to the front it should be on the left side. If it's in the other way round it will loosen itself.

with brushless if being used torque is huge and this is critical also those diff plates with shims a very sound idea gives a safety net on settings

diff screw is on the right side(well left side ) It would tighten fine and go fine for a while and then just loosen off, o those shims everyone said to use just messed it up too.
Has anyone got a full spare diff or diff gear in the nottingham/linc area? |

This may sound really mad but if you fancy giving the cr a race at a regional coventry isnt to far away from you and there is a mid west regional on next sunday on there, a week tommorow and im sure if you where to come and ask im sure someone like brian or sleigh they could sort your problem. Not voletering them of course but they are two very friendly people who helped me loads. Just a though if you are interested.
