Get the wce front arms they are stronger identified by a lot of plastic where the shocks bolt on, mine kept busting the front shock shafts at the bottom( bad driving) and also a lot of front gear cases where the shock mount bolts too- I've seen a d4 at oswerstry national with an alloy one! Don't know where he got it though.
My car was bomb proof apart from that and I ran 5.5 6.5 7.5 in it with no problems oh and make sure it's got serrated front wheel nuts as they have a tendency to come off,i only changed it because of the lack of trackside spares available I ended up buying a spare car

I think what people are saying is the D-4 is not a popular car, not because it isnt good, but because it isnt supported over here. You will get a good set up for this car but you may struggle to get spares. So enjoy your off road RC experience, its by far the best class in the world!!! |

JEspares do have a light stock of D4 parts too, but if you can, find somewhere like amain and order bulk. Theyre cheap enough. Shauns does have the WCE slipper and the strengthened diff bolts already so no need to buy those. As for serated nuts. I've never run serated nuts on mine and never had a problem with them coming loose. There does seem to be a few on here for sale recently, so it may be worth looking them up and possibly buying a spare car. |
