I am quite a newbie to SC, but it seems most of them are pretty solid.

I did consider an HPI Blitz the ESE version, but then I found a bargain the Ansmann X2SC - at under £80 for the kit, plus I have the electrics to pop in it already.

At the club I go to it does seem as if the Ansmann truck (or Team C) has caught on and there were several at one of the Short Course National events I went to a couple of months ago.

Both would be good, and I think even the Losi 2WD isn't a bad choice either - in terms of setup and go I think the Ansmann is better in most people's opinions but on the downside the quality of the actual kit isn't as good as the HPI.

The Losi XXX-SCT is the strongest of the bunch without any doubt.

The new TLR 22-SCT is about to hit our shores and will be a serious contender for racing and will be also very strong going on the 22 design/quality.

If you specifically want an RTR car then i would wait for the new Durango as the price is very reasonable considering the quality of electrics included and the truck is a strong one with a race pedigree.

The Blitz is a good starter truck but doesn't seem to hold up in competition against the other trucks and has a few mechanical faults/weak points

Ansmann X2SC/Team C cars are very competitive racers and easy to drive/set-up but again have weak points.

Depends on your experience and what you will be using it for?
