I was a bit annoyed at it being cloudy so I missed the lunar eclipse.

Here's one I shot the last time although I only had a 200mm lens then so I was quite looking forward to trying out the 300 with the 2x tele.

Here's a moon shot with the 300 + 2x.

I've been practicing on the moon a bit more!

Then some macro!

Are all those lines on the moon tyre tracks from the Lunar Rover? Oh hang on, that would mean someone actually went to the moon which is just silly. I mean, there is no KFC there so why would anyone want to go! Was the Lunar (MG) Rover brushless ?

Man, those moon shots are ace!

I got some similar to the first pic at the last lunar eclipse, but, like you say it was cloudy this time.

I must get a nice zoom.

What tele converter do you use?
Do you use a tripod for the moon shots? or just free hand.

I use a Kenko something or other, it basically is optically the same as the kenko pro verson but doesnt report itself to the body so the camera wont shutdown autofocus af f8.

I usually would use a tripod although that last moon shot was my 300mm f4L with the 2x teleconverter resting on the windowsill.

Thanks, it's an area called Kuredu, you basically head out of Sheffield on the A61, and keep going for about 5000 miles
