Check out www.radiocontrolzone.com and look at the lazer zx, zxr, alpha thread and you will see most tests and developments done on this car to make it more user friendly as well as a more stable platform for todays competition.

Slim stars ??? never heard of them picture ???

The only Hpi i know of is HPI superstar those are long gone but HPI has removed the front rim changed them a bit and are selling them but you have to cut them down in the fronts if you want them narrow, i have done that.
Shall also tell you that they are 2,2 and should be avaliable on the bay.

I'm finding it quite amusing that the weight distribution of the ZXR is probably perfect for saddle lipos. The motor forward layout is a gonner for sure soon! Too much weight at front now. i'm sure everone will say i'm talking nonsense though!

Default HPI Star Rims long gone

Thank you (Arigato) for the input regarding the Hpi Rims info! What about the Fastrax/Microtech 5 star rims? Are those good also. I think they are English.Where can I get them?I will be going to Downtown Tokyo tomorrow and look for some 1980s RC kits. Wish me luck. I will try to go to Aki-Habara.Its about a 45 Min train ride over there.I will see what I find. Any requests let me know.BTW some of your English cars are not really available here in Japan or States IE. Shumacher or the X11. Wonder if there is any market for them or too much competition? Sayonara.

Default Aki-Habara Japan...

I am a Kyosho Lazer fan and I have always Gravi-tated to the Kyosho company since I had my Kyosho Turbo-Optima back in 1985. When I got to the shops, all the new Kyoshos, yokomos, Xray, and tamiya models at the shops. (RC-Champ and RC Advisor)Too bad the dollar is weak here! Now anything costs me additional 10% for the exchange rate! AND if you want to use VISA then add 10% extra! The Japanese girls are very accomodating, ONLY IF you respect them back. They usually cover their mouth when they giggle. They are very sweet people.
Thank you for listening guys. Its forums like this that keep the (Old Skool)Kyosho Lazers people around that are long out of production!

Isobarik,

Ive just had a call telling me that the items that were sent from Japan are being sent to me today or tomorrow, which means I may have a kick up plate in there for you.

trd179v,

Well I liked the Lazer ZX so much I raced it competitively from 1989 all the way up to 2000, and still enjoyed winning events with it before I called it a day. I redesigned it so much it was basically a different model. Bits can be made for the ZX / ZXR and now the ZX-S (as I am still using mine) as parts are always needed.

However there are good things that have come from this, as we have redesigned gearbox items to make stronger (I had a few good ideas as well for strengthening the ZXS front end) so they can still take a beating.

Im doing the Petit event in January and pics will be up next year sometime on their website with my new updated designs if your interested.

And finally yes the ladies are sweet and innocent and polite but when the lights go off they can be quite wild.

Is that all you have, only 9? Ive a hell of a lot more. Front and rear gearboxes as well as layshaft gears and steering plastic bits are almost ready to sell for the zxs. Ive also done a redesign on the rear shock tower mount but still dont think its going to stay unbroken for long. An alloy one is the way to go.

I know they are gear covers but thought id mention what ive managed to achieve. Still we will have molds made of the gear covers to so will have more than enough, wont we.

Well i guess i saved your bacon with supplying fibre lyte with the prototype parts. Hope they bring you some luck and they are a really snug fit so do not file or sand as its like that for a reason.

Welsh yeah that was really good actually it was really good that you supplied the upper an lower chassi drawings since i think it would be impossible to build one other wise.
Welsh could you or do you have more of the rear alu shock tower mount ???
