Yes, will make more of them.
I´ve had quite a few request both here and via e-mail.

New updated versions fit 511 with gear and ball diffs.

Sorry for not being so active at Oople atm.
I´ve been traveling and also working with new parts.

Hi Fredrik,

Can you please add my name to the list of people that want diff covers for the 511, I will have a few of them off you for my team drivers, and of course for myself.

Cheers

Dc

Sorry David, did´nt notice that you had posted a question.

I have ordered parts from Fibre-Lyte, for both 511 and 502X.
I´ve decided to offer parts on both "normal" 3.5 carbon and the 4mm parts in carbon 660.

Carbon 660 has alternating layers of carbon fibre and fibreglass. It looks the same on the surface as the standard plain weave mounts, in theory it is a little tougher due to the fibreglass.

I will stock the following parts:
TRF502X Rear shock tower high wing mount (5 mm up) in 4 mm carbon 660: 18 euros
TRF502X Rear shock tower high wing mount (5 mm up) in 3.5 mm carbon: 18 euros

TRF502X Rear shock tower in 4 mm carbon 660: 18 euros
TRF502X Rear shock tower in 3.5 carbon (already in stock): 18 euros

TRF502X Front shock tower in 4 mm carbon 660: 15 euros
TRF502X Front shock tower in 3.5 mm carbon (already in stock): 15 euros

TRF511 Front shock tower in 4 mm carbon 660: 15 euros
TRF511 Front shock tower in 3.5 mm carbon: 15 euros

TRF511 Rear shock tower in 4 mm carbon 660: 18 euros
TRF511 Rear shock tower in 3.5 mm carbon: 18 euros

TRF511 LiPo_carbon tray with carbon middle piece and stainless steel center weights: 25 euros
(2 stainless steel weights (17 and 26 grams) are included. So you can add 17, 26 or 43 grams.)

Again, my apologies for not replying faster. It´s been a bit too much to do.

My apologies, have been bit too busy with my daytime work. As I´ve probably mentioned before, I´ve been traveling a lot.
Did´nt expect it to be so much to do...

But now I will go on vacation, so I will have more time for these things.

So I will check if I can have the parts made this week. Yes, thought I would have had them ready long time ago, but...

Parts mentioned above are being made by Fibre-Lyte.
I´ve updated the previous post with prices.

Some additional info about TRF511 shock towers:

The changes that I´ve done makes towers stronger than original parts.
  • More material around shock mounting holes and tower mounting holes (on the outside).
  • Removed the outer shock mounting holes on both front and rear tower.
  • On rear tower I´ve added additional inner holes (Shown in green below).
  • The unused lower holes at rear tower are removed.
  • Made the openings smaller.
Sketch below show some of the most important modifications that I´ve done.

Red parts are removed (original design). Green are new.
Now shown are previous thickness around mounting holes.

I know, it feels like years ago. Sorry guys...

I received a few today, will get more beginning of next week.

New ones has been improved in several ways.
Fits both gear and ball diff (old news...)
Sits even better/more secure.
Easier to install diffs, less stress on belts.
They can be used with both 3.5 and 4mm shock towers without any modification.

Some pics:

Rear diff cover.

Those who want can now order them and I will ship next week.

Cost 25 euros each.
Short front and short rear diff ones.

Default Taller Rear Tower?

Hey Fredrik - have you considered making a taller rear shock tower, similar to the Atomic Carbon tower for the DB01? The AC tower has two sets of shock mounting holes, stock and 'taller' so that you don't have to cut spring coils to gain the proper ride height.

Looking forward to purchasing a set of front & rear diff covers for my 511 - nice work!

I'm looking for a 511 lipo tray.
Is there a real difference between the Tamiya and the Alaste one?

thanks.
