I might get a v2 when I get chance, assuming they'll be selling them, so far I am finding rear motor just as hash on clay as any other surface!

What shell does it come with, the original or the new style, and when will the new style be available as a single item.

The body of Lee's car looks different to the regular Vega ones. Is it just a one-off? Or will it be included with the updated TRF201 conversion?

Its a new mould made by Xtreme so I imagine it will be for sale for all Vega's and maybe in the V2 201 kit.

I'm sure Xtreme will confirm this.........

A small recap with the differences between the V1 & V2 kit would be nice

New points:

New Shell
12mm longer wheelbase
Raised gear box
New Batt strap
New Optional Cell locations
New Rear tower that takes 511 wing mounts

I believe there are some small changes coming but I imagine the full spec will be on the Xtreme website

Lee will be developing the car and it has to be understood it will change many times before it's in production for all.
It also has to be understood that sometimes revised versions don't go to plan, although the knowledge of the whole Team XTreme Team and Lewis is huge, so I can't see this happening too often.
Lee will let everyone know when it's spot on, I am sure!

Ha yeah to be honest, as long as the motor is in front of the rear axle I don't care about a "final" version!!

I'm going to see if I can get someone over at TAMIYA USA to admit to me something about the TRF201 replacement. For the record, I'm under the impression that the TRF201 is considered a permanent fixture in Tamiya's R/C catalouge so if they are going to make changes they will be very subtle.
Tamiya Japan's R/C catalouge shows that this is the philosopy they are following considering the TRF201. TRF511 and 502 are considered limited production run models. I'm going to stop by over at TAMIYA USA the next time I am in Orange County and gather as much info as I can. I'll report back when I have something for you guys.
