impossible youll never get one to fit,and theres really no need 90% of b4 drivers super glue the servo saver up,if ur hitting stuff something has to break and better the horn than your servo,

just a warning it will happen even if it has been built to perfection its only a matter of time

Did not hit anything today. Just a bad landing and i rolled.

True, its better whith a striped servohorn. But the spare part avaliability is not so good yet in Sweden.

Is it the same horn as the Cat SX? Hope so as I hold spares of these due to running a SX and a SV

Only time I have broken the servo horn on the SX or SV was at Petit when I met the wall on the table top.. I was expecting more damage on the SX, but it held together very very well

I'm running Sanwa and Savox servos (Got a Savox 1258 to potentially go in the SV, however the Sanwa is 20g heavier).

nope.. it dosen´t touch chassis.. it is a Savox 1251 servo and with no use of spacers.

It could easily be that with some servos it will fit and with some it won't. Servos are very different these days - the distance from the end of the output spline to the mounting tabs can vary by a massive amount.

I've run the kit plastic one. In fairness I did break a gear in a servo however, but it is a fairly old servo and can't remember the last time it came apart - if at all!!

Default Gearbox Housing

Evening people,

I've just started to build my SV and to honest I am shocked by the quality of some of the injection moulding parts. The gearbox housing is terrible!!!!! I've never seen two halves of something go together so bad. Plus some of the anodizing is of a very poor quality. There's a part of me that is wishing I never bought this kit. You don't expect such poor parts from a PRO kits. Why did I leave Associated??? And I haven't even got half way through the build. In fact the quality of finish of the parts on the Fireblade Evo were better than what I'm coming across with the SV.

Andy
