Default XX4 CR conversion help please

I am in process of restoring my old xx4 worlds to use as a second car.

Having bought it back im trying to mint it up and have just done the CR conversion on it, using 2 degree blocks, then bought cr wishbones and hubs

I have found a set up and am using inside on outa wishbone the inner holes and forward middle on hub position, this ties in with 5A on the shock tower ( i know some of the hub needs filing slightly i found that info to allow full movement.

My question is one someone else asked some time ago but no one replied, the driveshaft seem right at the end point on diff half at full extension borderline coming out?

Is this normal?

Try the same cure as used on the x6 and xxx4.
Bk2 rear axles with a small spacer between axle and first bearing. U can either use cvds or dogbones both were available. Infact I'm sure I still have a dogbone set in my box doing nothing!

Mine looked like they may come out but never did. Have you got any internal limiters in your shocks? That would help too.

I have a 2 sets of shocks for my xx4, whe using the standard rear end i use the 1.2" shaft version, and when using the xxx-cr wishbones i use the 1.0" shaft set and this stops the drive shaft getting close to falling out.

Of course as mentioned you could always use a limiter in the shock.

I am running the cr mod on my xx4 and found the same problem if you are using the inside hole on the wishbone for your shock position. I found that you could just put limiters in the shock or run the cr rear shockshaft. If you are running with the drive shafts just on the edge of falling out then you prob have to much droop anyway.
