Cobra I feel you have a lot to do if you believe you are ready for regional meeting..
Please take this as constructive comments Your track is way too rough to have a decent class of racing on it. You need to sort an alternate venue or do some work on the track. Your race controller needs to pay more attention to what is going on on the track.. ie people still on the main streight putting cars down when the race is starting, Marshells still putting there cells on charge and not at track side, Races being held for the selective few racers to get ready. Your layout had much to be desired with no marshells on the in-field, and when a car rolled in there no-one knew who's responsibility it was to marshell that car.... result was too much time was wasted.... I have been involved now with three clubs getting ready for a WRCA round and a lot of effort was put in, into making those days a great success, I can only hope Cobra can do the same... and again please take these comments as constructive.. |

For the WRCA, the computer will be put on automatic and this is how it will go. If your car is not ready, and you will have plenty of warning, once the race starts, the track is closed. If you are not out to Marshall at the start of the 10s countdown, you WILL get a penalty. If you have interference, the race will be paused for a short while, if your on the wrong crystal, then the timer will be restarted. Track, now we are going to find out about using the field the other side of the hedge, if so, none of the track issue's will remain, but that is to be confirmed (we are asking tomorrow). Current track, the issue was the layout today, with using that straight, it is a no go, so this is what will be done to work around the ruts. 1) Straight will be laid on the carpark, before you all moan, we have carpet that we are bringing from our container, and a transponder bridge to. The straight will also be staged back away from the kerbing so you will have a clear line of site of the cars. 2) the track will be laid to take into consideration the current ruts. 3) Some of the club will be down to try and remove some of the worst issue's and the track will be set out to either avoid them, or so they aren't an issue, or even used to punish taking a wide apex (for you racing gods ) 4) track design will also take into consideration the ability for marshalls to get to and retrieve a car. Any other questions guys?

We have been given permission from the Park Dept to use the large field the other side of the trees, so a nice big track will be laid!!
