Default Masami Vs BK - 1995

Awesome old Vid, think they probably used Additives etc as they have loooads of grip on the dirt :-)

Looks like very low profile tyres as well!

Brian in his day could wheel - don't forget he still can, he almost TQ'd one round at the Cactus Classic last weekend.

Back about '94 or '95 he attended a race close to me in the US. He was by far the class of the field turning 23.2, 23.3 laps - everyone else was at 23.8 or 24.0. The announcer got on him about did he wish he could do a 22 second lap. His next three laps were 22.4, 21.7 and 21.9.

Nice guy also!!!

BK is a top bloke. Met him at Basildon and then remembered me at the Southport British Grand Prix and came over and had a chat about setups ( i think he felt sorry for me due to driving my sponsers car the Fabiix 2wd ). Still what changes he did advise moved me up the grid quite a lot.

Funny to hear everyone praise BK so much, to be honest i met him at the 99 Worlds in Finland in the Hotel and he was so rude to my Dad i lost a LOT of respect for him there and then.

Fair enough we were racing AE and he was still with Losi but my Dad said hi to him and he just sort of "Grunted" - That's all i can explain it as, from that moment i just looked at him completely differently

I met Masami at Basildon in 93, super polite chap, scribled all over my copy of Model Cars Monthly, still have that in the loft somewhere

I met Masami at a French airport waiting for the connecting flight to Italy for the Worlds (2005). I had the cars with me as carry on. He called me over to have a look, I was running an X5 at the time. Don't think that he had seen one before.
