Keith is planning on rotating the transponders we have, starting next year. I believe he mentioned bringing 4 transponders each week; new starters/members will be given priority.

Not an ideal situation for all, but the batteries are starting to fail in some and the manufacturer is no longer offering to service or replace them. Therefore we need to make what we have last.

By the same reasoning, personal transponders will be required for the national series from 2011 - see here.

Don't know if it would help you guys but MRT used to offer a battery replacement service on the handouts. Could be worth asking them if they still do it?

Thanks. I'll pass that on to Keith; although I know he has replaced the batteries in some of them himself recently.

The club may look to buy a few PTs in future that we can then lend out to people for the day.

MRT were going to be doing their own equivalent of a handout that got it's power in the same way as the PT, may be cheaper for the club?
