I was windering if the TRF201 will be driven with normal 4WD Front tires (since they are recommended by Tamiya)? Has anybody got information if the 51414 TRF201 Front Dish wheels is designed for 4WD Front tyres or for 2WD Front tyres (as the slim one from Schumacher are)???
I wanted to order tyres from the UK but i am unsure wether to buy 4WD Fronts or Slim (2WD Fronts). Anybody? |

They're be 'normal' width - the 2wd and 4wd width is the same.
You can use them with wide or narrow 2wd tyres - just mount them differently, you may need to trim some of the wheel off. |

Thanks, this means i can use both (for example Schumacher) normal Mini Spike Front Tyres (4WD) and Mini Spike Tyres Slim? What do you mean with trimming some of the wheel off? What do most people tend to use on their b44 and Kyoshos or does it only depend on the soil you run on? Wide Fronts if soil is loose and slim ones if traction is high on packed clay or something?

Should be a great car! The build should be amazing! As with all TRF kits.
This kit has already gotten attention on every good rc website. oople, rcuniverse, and rctech

There's not much racing here on dirt, mainly astro, so rarely wide tyres are seen on the front of a 2wd. Chopping of the wheel, I mean this bit, the bit in red, on the inside of the wheel, you end up with a narrow wheel ideal for narrow front 2wd tyres. |_|____|_| |

As i am just about to buy an esc and motor for the 201 i was thinking if the SXXTC fits under the body with its cooling ribs. So according to this pic it should fit, remains only the questions if the fan also fits once installed...

Muratti,
My speed passion GT2.0 fits under the body with Fan attached to the top. The body has a perfect clearnace for the fan. See pics from Talywain report. Hope this helps

Many thanks, Pidge this helps a lot! If you could also measure the height of your esc with fan all possible TRF201 buyers would know if their esc fits or not. That would be awesome Thanks in advance! |

I have a JR XR3I computer FM radio, JR metal geared servo, and Novak 8.5 XBR brushless system ready to drop in this car.
Good combo that I ran in my E-firestorm. It will be making it's way into the TRF 201.

i think the body gives the clearance for just about any speedo combo, but personally i think you should all have Speed passions in your cars anyway, not only is the performance superior, but the blue coating matches the Tamiya blue anodizing..............!
Should you need anymore reason!

If you notice, all the gear in the car is Tamiya branded, and as of yet they don't do a Lipo stick pack so thats probably why the cells are in there
