Hi new to short coarse, i have 5.5t 6.5t which i use in my buggys, my question is are these to hot for the sc10?
Will be racing outdoors on a large grass track, don't want to burnout electrics as it is for fun/track time between racing other classes. cheers.

I ran an SC10 a couple of years ago, I started off with a 10.5, and it was limited fun. I put in a 6.5 and it was big fun, no problem atall. As long as you can drive a drift and don't mind wheelies... ha ha.

Your electronics will probably run a bit more hot due the higher roll resistance compare to the buggy. I would just give it a try and stop a few times to check the temps.

On my T4 (similar car) the temps were no problem at all with a 5.5.

did a few laps with a fellow racers sc10 2wd running a 5.5t on tuesday night, and it did run hot but it was more down to timing settings etc on the speedo,

the truck felt really good with the 5.5 as it flew down the straight but was really well setup and had the punch set low so that it didnt break away every time you touched the power.

So yeah it can be done and it does work, but you will need to have it set up perfectly otherwise it will be a handfull. if you really plan on racing the truck rather than bashing it id stick with the 8.5t range for most tracks or try a 6.5t if its a long open flowing track.

And if you wanna race it then come down to the SCT nationals
and if its not to far come to short course carnage at A1 racing club (grantham)
