Default Supastox weight , how do you get to 950 ???

Does anyone know how to get a supastox down to 950 grams

I have used lightweight cables , shortened all cables , replaced the heavy rear body mount .

Lightweight 12th servo, micro receiver, remove all unused srews,

984g including shell

Any ideas how to loose more weight ?

ye ive done the same to mine and its still way over the only other things you could do is change the lipo as there are heavy and lite ones and you cloud replace all the screws and nuts with alloy or titanium ones but this ant going to get you down to 950 grams and you mite end up bending some of the srcews (if you use alloy) in a crash cuz there not as tuff as stell ones. its better to have a balanced car (left to right front to back) that is a little over weight than the other way round. the ss has got a lot more parts than the mardave but i think it handles loads better than the mardave so this is the trade off

I wouldnt worry about it.......its only 34g.!!

Try the Core RC Lipo.............I tried one last week and it weighs about half as much as any other lipo.

Also, what electrics are you running?

Try a micro servo / smaller ESC (Remove fan / Heatsink) / Smaller Receiver.

Use tape to hold in Battery rather than velcro strap.

Titanium / Aluminium Screws, Titabium turnbuckles??

Lots of ways, but all seem quite pricey.......I would just run it and not worry too much about it. A balanced car is more important than a light car.

You could remove the composite straps on top of the bumpers and use washers instead. That'll save about 5g

Does anyone else find that some advice isn't as helpful as you'd like it to be...

Servo - which one? Lots of weight there as a TC one is about 60g and a 12th one is about 30g or less. HTH

The biggest save would probably be if the axle was replaced with a lightweight carbon one, but you'll have to speak to schumacher nicely to get that made!!

i wouldnt worry about it, a balanced car will always be faster and easier to drive than a lighter un-balanced one

1076grm with my usual lipo and then 1039grm with a different type (both are half saddle), i would have to remove my electrics to loose 89grms

managed to shave 11grms off, by shrink wrapping the reciever internals, after taking them out lol.. the rx was quite big lol.. so now down to 1028grm with shell on.

now at 1017grms..

what do the 1s lipos weigh?

axles are on of the first things to get damaged if there not strong, alloy will bend easier than steel, unfortunatly thats a fact

Unfortunately people who shell out a large chunk of their hard-earned on an alloy axle and then bend it also have no sense of humour and will probably come on here and slag off Schumacher.

Mark and I are trying to make a serious point to warn the ignorant and less-skilled that this sort of product is not suitable for that sort of person, before they waste their money. Unfortunately you have no sense of serious...
