Default C4.1 bodyshell cut lines

Anyone got any pictures of the rear of their cut out shell? Struggling with how much to cut away.

I gave up last night because I've always been a bit cackhanded at cutting shells at the best of times and knew I was about to muck it up and end up without a shell for the weekend

Cheers

Rob

Hi Rob,
If you go on to CML's website and checkout the matt black shell, this will give you some idea for around the spur gear cover. I did this, and marked it out with a sharpie, then cut and test fit, cut a bit more until its right.

I left the back long, then kept cutting it up a bit at a time - straight. So the back of the shell rests on the gearbox - it can't go any lower. Make sure to leave the sides long, but check for clearance of driveshaft + wishbone at full suspension compression.

My shell is with Carl Latham being sprayed up, expecting to have it back Thursday. When I do I'll take loads of photo's, so if you can wait until then to cut I'll do the photos as soon as I can.... unless somebody else puts some up in the meantime...

Thanks, Chris. Did what you said and used the pictures of the black shell and think I am about there. Erred on side of caution and will trim a bit more when I see others in the flesh.

Just off to spray another one colour wonder and I think the car is nearly there

I'll post tomorrow night when all done - no battery braces/tubes in place at moment as I was missing a few screws. On way from nice people at CML

Anyway, shouldn't you be sorting out heat listings

Unfortuntately cannot get a pass for Thurs night so first run will be practice round at MKGP
