Entry: 2008 OFF-ROAD EURO'S -- COLLEGNO ITALY, July 07 - 12.
2008 OFF-ROAD EURO'S -- COLLEGNO (Turin), ITALY, July 07 - 12.
The procedure for being awarded an entry at the above event is to invite drivers from the UK National Championship, in numerical order at the end of the Series. The first ninety plus drivers from the 2007 Series have been invited, with the exception of some for which we do not have current mail addresses. We are still waiting for replies from many. Any driver (not already contacted) that competed in the BRCA 2007 Off-Road National Championship that is interested in competing at the above event, needs to contact Paul Worsley quickly. Basic details will then be mailed. EFRA allocate a certain number of places to the UK. It is not yet possible to state if all drivers interested will be awarded an entry. We need to confirm our final numbers from UK early next week (Dec 18), so you need to act now if interested. Please mail me on -- paul.worsley@virgin.net Best regards, Paul Worsley. (Chairman, BRCA Off-Road Section) |

Might be due to it being about finding the best driver in Euro ... not the best stuntman!!!!
Track looks awesome to me! |

Looking at doing the Euro's either this year or next. Just a few questions to those who have done the Euro's.
Is it expensive to do. Travel cost, RC stuff (tyres) etc... Is it worth while doing. Do you get any support from the BRCA. Mark

Unless that track has changed massively since 2004 Euros i can assure you there are more than 2 jumps!
It's a good facility, but with sod all grip! or at least there wasn't on the tyres we had in 2004 - x2000 and bigshot. Interesting to see their choices for 08 - as again they have gone with a 4wd rear tyre that doesn't have a equivalent front. Only time we got grip in 04 was after rain - then it didn't matter what tyres, they clogged and then had shed loads of traction. As for costs - well you're looking at £100 - £120 for flight, Hotel prices vary, but i have a feeling the H.I.P (where we all stayed in 04) was about 70-80 Euros for twin room. Tyres, well depends how many you want to buy - simple as that. With Losi's and Prolines you're looking at £10 per pair i'd guess, you get a lot of runs. Can't remember how many sets i used, but don't think there is any limits on tyres for off rd Euros? BRCA support - well what do you want? There is always a lot of support as far as getting things organised go (hotels, EFRA licence etc). The support between all the drivers of the team is always very very good, everyone chips in to help each other out. |

The last few that I have done have been aroud £1000 fo everything.
Thats race fees, EFRA licence, Hotel, Flights/Car & ferry fuel, tyres and spending money. (it cost a little more for finland as you had to fly there, then there was the car rental costs) It's worth doing just for the experience, of different racing cultures and socially in the evenings. When you say support from the BRCA, they are there in Paul Worsley, he looks after most things and makes sure you know everything you need to know.

I don't think Wes loves your jump appreciation as much, after he lent you his B44 on friday LOL!!! Damn shame I didn't bring my B4 with me as you could have borrowed a front shock.
See you in the new year. M. |

Looks like a superb venue to me. Interestingly, the track is only listed as 2m wide...
