Default Ledbury MCC Regional 2008

I live about as close as you can get to this track, yet have never visited it. From their website, it looks like they are building a 10th Buggy Astro Track.

If anyone would like to know more about it before next year, I don't mind dropping down to the track to take some pics in the next couple of days. (It is less than 5 minutes away). From the photo's it looks like they have made some sort of bridge section....

Let me know if you want to know more... (I think it is being run by Doug Hogg (of Nitrux fame)).

Mark

I am not sure, from the website, their seems to be two locations within stones throw of each other (club track) and (big meet track).

I think the track will be at the (big meet track), but don't question me on it.

From the brief description, I think it will be astro...

Will get those pics up at the weekend. It will be light then!

Until Gordy or Doug confirm otherwise I believe that there are to be 3 tracks.

Current dirt track (primarily for 1/8th)
Grass "club track" (primarily 1/8th but usable for 1/10th if mowed short)
1/10th specific track .... will become progressively more astro based as time goes on. This area is still "under construction" as far as I can gather.

As I said before, Gordy is your man on this forum .... will try to ring him again tonight to confirm ... better still get him to post up in person!

Sorry Guys, missed this thread.
Right, where to start?
For the time being the track is going to be a grass track, untill someone comes up with some free astro! We do have a bridge section, which we are constructing at the moment. This will be an over and back under afair, although it can be run many different ways. We have a lot of very interesting features that we are planning. We are hoping to have the track in it's basic form running in a month or so. We have three tracks at the moment; grass track;rally cross track and the 10th track, which is under construction. The tracks are all situated on the same site down the lane by the motor cross, as you described.
We're getting a growing interest in 10th electric, which is why we are doing this as our 8th scale track is just too rough for the 10th.
For any more details email Doug Hogg contact@ledburymcc.com
take a look at the website, there's not much in the way of pictures of the new track yet, but I look damn good with a sledge hammer on some of them.

This will be my local track as well. Only 20 mins away.
Not far from the M50.
Will the club be running any 1/10th buggy events prior to the regional event?

I would have thought that if it's mainly astroturf, they would would run it fairly early because of weather, saying that though look at this year's summer

Does anyone have any updates about this track?

I could do with the practise before the regionals.

Thanks.

Just a quick update on the track, for those who want to know the surface is mainly grass, with some hard packed sandy dirt sections.
We're working flat out down there at the moment moving tons of soil - hopefully the track will be interesting when finished.

There may be some pics up on the Ledbury site later, if Doug gets chance.
Although, they are not going to tell you much as the tracks still in an unfinished state. But I Guarentee it will be finished for the meeting.

Hi Mark / Gordy, I've tried to contact Doug to confirm a few things for the Regional, but not heard back. Do you know if he's having e-mail problems??
