Default Weekday Racing near Oldham

I was wondering if there was a weekday racing club in or around Oldham. I used to go to Roundabout raceway untill that stopped due to the hall being knocked down and no new venue has been found and i used to go the Rossmod Club untill the club had a falling out with the school. So i would like to know if there are any other clubs because i would like to go back racing

Default You and me both

Hey dean. John here, we chatted at rossmods padiham meet.

Midweek indoor northwest is a no go at the mo. Bury have been tinkering with the idea but seem to be going with indoor once a month on sundays (despite my best efforts), i have emailed dave at rr and no response and not sure what rossmods are upto but no news as yet!

I will drop them an email to see what they say, but i think theres good midweek potential.

John

The closest you'll get to midweek is Cheadle on Thursdays, or Ribble Valley on Fridays.
Not sure what the buggy situation is at Cheadle these days since its really a TC club but they normally have a buggy heat.

Mid-week racing by Bury seems unlikely at present since whilst there is interest in it, none of the organisers are available weeknights. Dave at Roundabout hasn't sounded that interested about a couple of options presented to him. So at the moment unless some else wants to start organising races its not likely to change.

Cheadle welcomes all, the thing is Buggys have died a death at cheadle, but you could still get in a heat.

The 6.5t motor would be a bit of a handful as the circuit is quite tight, and even superior handling TC's dont race more than 10.5 (infact we are soon to start a 13.5t championship as its more suited there).

Come down and take a look on Thursday

The other option is Urmston on wednesdays, but that is Oval racing and you need a std mardave to race in the bangers or a stock car. Its a great club and they have an ace line of tasty cooked food to eat whilst there.

Buggys are dead.. come over to the dark side
