Despite having a fairly naff day today, this has been a brilliant weekend of racing and the silverstone team deserve a big congratulations for pulling off the big event they said they would.

It took alot of dedication from some of those guys standing out in the -0 temps at 7 in the morning and all the other work they got done during the day, keeping the track good and keeping everyone happy.

I hope we get something similar for next year and it also bodes very well for their national

Default 4wd

Can someone tell me who won 4wd please?
Ive spent almost all day watching the live feed. It went off after leg three.
It looked like a fantastic day The finals were pure quality, the standard of driving was superb.

Default Great weekend.

After my terrible start to the day saturday, 4 and half hours late, half way there, return trip with the AA taking me home, car swap(head gasket gone) and hot foot it back to the venue....
missed practice and 1st round. but had a blast, won some bling....
LOVED the Short course to. and another trophy...

Hats off to you all.....

Matt and Pupton........ WELL done.... your both great lads and was a pleasure to meet you, and all the team.

Very cold today and glad i had extra clothing. shite happens eh!!!

Some great racing and close finals for the top boys and the lower ones.

Short course was fun to, but also some close racing had by us as well....

a 2 and a 3 place for the SHRCCC team!

GREAT Weekend!

Finally home after I can't remember how many hours. I just wanted to thank everyone who came and raced etc. I've got loads of thank you's to do and I don't want to miss anyone so I'll do it some other time and just go to bed I think.

Can't believe I've caught man flu, see what happens when you don't have a good drink for four days!!!

Must say a big thank you to all of the Silverstone crew and many others that really made this a fantastic event. Being on that side of things I know what is involved and you did great.

I ended up learning loads more about setup on both days but as per usual just cracked it for the final round of quali in 2wd and did better with 4wd making it better and better through each round after some with some consultation with Chris Bowater, Andy Griffiths and Dave Belsten, Jon Dell, Mark Dell, Alan Dell who put me on the right track! Then I was able to be consistent in R3 and R4 and then made a further change for the final and made it even better. Thanks for your help guys!.

Looking forward to another Area 51 one next year!

Cheers

Grant

I would like to say a thankyou to Steve Ibbo, Chris Ely and Scott Faulkner who manned the gate and parking with me over the weekend. Many thanks to all the competitors who followed the site rules as required.

The racing was great all weekend, throughout all of the finals, I had a poor day with having no time to set up my x2c on Saturday, but after waiting for the heating engineer until 12.30am this morning! I managed to get it sorted out for today. Qualified 8th in the G final with all the 4wd's using my x2c 2wd.

Big well done to everyone that helped put on this event. Had a really good time there on Saturday. The track was probably the best I have raced on indoors.

Looking forward to the next Area 51 meeting

Huge thank you to all involved in organising and running the meeting. Hope you all got some much needed sleep last night.

Venue, track, organisation, commentary, food, racing was all excellent. Heating was outside your control and to be honest once racing started on Sunday I forgot all about it.

Hope you will consider running again next year once you have recovered from this one.

Cheers

Rob
