Heres my CR2. I tried to use a Phat bodies shell, but it wasnt a direct fit.
I`ve also installed a hydra drive.
I`m looking forward to start testing

Bought this LHD CR2 from oOple member Dunc the other week. Came with a whole lot of new and used rims a well as wheels with loads of life left on them.

CR2 is build using an only slightly used 2nd hand car (all remaining CR parts came with it too). The AC sports GHEA front bulkhead, front inner and outer hinge pins as well as (1st Gen?) Trishbits shocks nuts.

As this is the LHD version and I don't like the idler conversions the plan is to run it with a sensorless speedo and motor and to switch two of the three wires to the motor. As I plan to use a 9.5T Speed Passion stock motor (the older ones feature zero timing IIRC) this should not be a problem I guess/hope. Otherwise I'll have to fit that darn idler ...

Oh, here some piccies.

Cheers
Seb

If you're running the motor sensorless the timing isn't a factor as the timing influences the position of the sensors, which you obviously won't be using in a sensorless setup, so go put a 4.5t in ;-)

The car is SEX

Are you going to come and run it in Langenfeld in January?

As for the timing, err, well, err ...

Hope to make it to Langenfeld in 2010, yes. *fingerscrossed*

Just some quick and dirty shots from the current build. Need to sort some things out like battery hold downs (plan to go washers one end and knurrled nuts the other end but not the tattered ones shown below!) and I also need to modify the battery straps as I plan to use Team Orion's Molecular saddle-packs but they sport increased height compared to the EFRA ones so I have to flip them by 180 degrees so the plugs face towards the motor. Otherwise the connectors interfere with the body unfortunately.
Oh, and I may go for body posts instead of Velcro to fasten the body as I hate the looks of Velcro on the chassis.

Others than that and some small bits & pieces here and there it's good to go!

Very nice pictures! Did you make yourself a mini studio? Or how did you get the surface and ligting/shadows so 'clean' ?

@Flipside:

At the moment I use a usual white 'paper' background and some smaller flashes that flash against the roof of the room (see pics). Usually for 1/10 scale cars and buggies I use what we call a 'photo tent' here.

Beside that, the pics are pretty much untouched beside some playing with Levels and Sharpness. Cam is an ageing Canon D60.

Cheers

Seb

Does the heavy wing have an effect in the air?
