Anyone know what car these topdecks maybe from
Hi All
I bought a job lot of spares and these two topdecks were in the box aswell. All the other spares in the box were for a Cat 3000 but these aren't so anyone know what car they might fit presuming they are for a schumacher. As having a bit of a clear out and want to sell these and other bits to sell. Cheers John |

If not cat 3000 then Axis touring car. Fairly sure not original Schumacher parts, so likely to be either custom made or from a 3rd party company.

Hi
They look very much the same as Cat 3000 top decks but they are an inch shorter than the standard kit ones and they would put the motor mount further back in the car so don't know if they are a 3rd party or a team or works design to run a shorter wheelbase 3000 as would need the chassis aswell. So if any who used to race a 3000 has seen these before or heard of them let me know as interesting to know as might not even be for a 3000 or even a schumacher car. As been through loads of diagrams of schumacher cars and the only one I've seen so far thats been similar has been the Axis but the layout is opposite way round. Cheers John |

I've only ever had the one touring car and it was the Axis 2 and they look very very similiat to the top decks on that. (This is from memory though)

topdecks
Hi
Yeah the lay out for the motor mount is the same as an axis but the front of topdeck is the same as a Cat 3000. But if you were to use this on either car it would put the motor where the battery slots are and would make a shorter wheel base. I know the Cat and the axis share a number of parts so don't know if someone has had the idea to run a mix of the two cars for what ever reason. |
