Default Tamiya M05 - Anybody got one yet?

And more to the point, is it a step up from the M03? Was considering getting an M03R to replace my fairly well shagged original M03 as they are fairly cheap now that they're "effectively clearance stock", but if the M05 is definately a better steer I'd rather wait a while.

I'm waiting on the m05 mini to be released - not really interested in the m05 pro or whatever the chassis-only version is that's already released. Where races these in the UK? Wouldn't mind racing a standard (fairly) m05, otherwise it'll be a driveway toy.

Release date is 20th of July for the M05 Pro and 20th August for the Rover Mini M05 kit (UK dates, already out in Asia).

i've just had a look, and I'd be interested to see an m03 & m05 head to head - I honestly can't see a great deal of difference, apart from a slightly lowered c of g - i'm not impressed enough to ditch my still mint m03 & m03r chassis for it

C of G seems to be were it's at with this chassis, the top mounted servo on the M03 just looks so wrong, so even with everything else the same as the 03 this new chassis should be less prone to grip rolling.

I want one. But then I also want a re-re Rough Rider. And a PS3. And a bigger house. And an Audi RS4 Avant

I've got one, not raced it yet, will try it out in a week or two.

The guys who race them at Poole (DMCRC), would all probably have been in the A with an M03 anyway?
