Default Double sided tape that works??!

Has anyone found any double aided tape that actually keeps the speedo stuck to the speedo mount on the transmission?? I've tried 4 different types yet after every run the speedo is hanging off due to the temperature the mount gets to being next to the motor plate.

Very annoying

Do you use lighter fluid to clean the surfaces first? I use losi tape and it sticks like shoot to a blankot regardless of temp

I dont think its because of the heat that it doesn't stick... its because the plastic isn't a perfect flat surface, especially with the line cut outs that allow dirt and dust to get in and effect the stickiness of the tape.

Mine's still hanging on but I'll be changing it soon to a bolt on plate... I'm using Much More double sided tape that you buy on a role... have had it for years!

I've also popped a ty-wrap round it as well as the servo tape. Belt and braces.

Not it my experience it's stretches but holds together better than anything else I've ever used. The only downsides are price and that it's grey so if you can see the tape on install and don't like grey it's not ideal. Functionally it's the dogs ..........
