Pm me if you want the standard manual not the evo as ive got that as well. Quality not as good as it a copy and the manual only consists of a few pages so the evo is better.

Just for your information ...

Guys,
For your information I will be getting Lazer ZXR 48dp 100 tooth spur gears made, so wont be forever hunting for spares anymore, as they will be readily available. I am awaiting an original to come in the post and I will send off for a mold to be made and then everyone will be able to buy as and when they need.

Thanks James for the manuals .
By the way, yesterday I had my second race with the Lazer; I still have to improve the setup a little but the car was a lot better that the first race. My setup, based on associated shocks, was: Front: - spring blue - oil 50 wt - piston no. 3 Rear - spring silver - oil 40 wt - piston no. 3 Schumacher yellow mini pin all around, with the external row of pin cutted in the front tires. Next time I will try the front silver springs and maybe the piston no. 2 . The track is in astrotuf, you can see a small video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jn0vA...layer_embedded Another question, which kind of grease did you put inside the gear diffs ? Bye Ema P.S. In the 2wd class I win the B main using my evergreen Associated B2 . |

I used Vaseline but totally filled the diff with this grease and worked really well for me in the gear diffs.
Have you tried number 1 pistons or is it too soft? What holes are the tie rods on the front and rear shock towers and hubs? Well done with the B2. My set up at the moment is size one pistons all round, green springs all round, 35 front with 2mm pack and 45 rear no pack. Ive got four lipo rude tony brass trays at the very front, with a 5g weight at the back holding them in place, a futaba 9551 small servo with 3x 20g weights along the back of the servo and one 20g weight in the little chassis section on either side of the servo. Ive also got a trinity blue alloy front block which is heavier than standard and aides the handling. I use lipo saddles in forward position. B3 front wishbones. Still needs some work but feels more stable than last setting.

Sorry to hijack this thread but was wondering if anyone has a LAW12 slipper assembly they might wish to sell/trade? I am buildng up a ZX and wanted to go down this route. Are any of these items around? Even used would be fine.
I'll be keen on a few of those 100 tooth spurs by the way- |

Yes, piston 1 was too soft and the chassis hit hardly the ground after each jump (to be honest the major problem was only at the front, maybe with a different oil .....). The tie rods are configured like these pictures: http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/6232/p1010934r.jpg http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/5443/p1010933.jpg For the B2 I was using brown springs at the front with 35 oil and piston 2, but with stagger tires. At the rear green springs with 30 oil and piston 1. 60 grams of lead at the front, 40 at the top of the servo and 20 in the little chassis section, but I think I will put some extra weight as the car is still prone to wheely under heavy acceleration. Battery in forward position too. B3 front wishbones too, all original B2 ones are gone !! |

Yes Ema I did recieve those very nice C/F towers, thank you. I am very impressed to have finaly found a set and was wondering who made them?
I will be assembling my ZX soon as I get the last few items I require. -On a side note I built my Pure Ten ball diffs today and they are super sweet! |

Lazer set up well im going to post pics today on the tie rods area as this may be worth trying. But i always set the rear 10 to 15 lighter than the front but with one spring strength lighter on the rear than the front for grass and two heavier on the front than the rear (same for rear on grass as well). Front ujs just under level and rear ujs slightly more. Also may be worth while buying B4 servo posts with the thin extenders so you can use them to more centralise your servo, so the horn almost touches the belt.

Ema,
Pics are not very good so apologies. I hope this helps. These pictures are without cells and set for carpet. With cells in the chassis will be very low and does work well. I am using the below set up as a starter to modify the set up with Lipos. This set up got me in the top ten in the indoors UK champs with NIMH cells. Fibre-lyte are making me something to hold the Lipo's in and I am using the rudebitz TRF 511 brass lipo plates that go in the centre of the car between the cells. This should aid handling a bit. Just waiting for the spur gears to be made for me to test it properly. Front oil: 60 weight Front Shocks: Traxxas TRX1 Front piston: 2 Holes Shock Shaft: Standard Front Spring: Schumacher Grey Rear oil: 40 Weight Rear Shocks: Traxxas TRX1 Rear Piston: 3 Holes Shock Shaft: Standard Rear Spring: Schumacher Yellow 1 to 2 mm pack on these shocks No roll bar on carpet. Preferred tyres Schumacher yellow mini pins. P.S this is the original car. Hope this is of use.
