Default TC02C idler gear advice please

could anyone tell me the best way to prevent destroying the idler gear on my buggy

i have the slipper set quite loose so don't feel i can change that any more

i have been using the black plastic idlers, should i upgrade to aluminium or POM gears

i read somewhere that with the aluminium ones the diff gear can strip

would appreciate any advice

Get either the POM ones or the RW racing ones both are machined from similar material, I've tried both and never had a problem with either. Before fitting new gears check the condition of the layshaft gear, if it's worn it will kill the idler gears very quick.
