Will get a pic later - every part is the same, says made in the USA in big letters, then in the small print it says made in china.

WTF ! haha

I hope there is a AE 4wd buggy. Off road is certainly coming back, and even if the market is ultimately tiny compared to monster truck toys - they SELL those monster trucks on the back of their racing heritage.

People with an RC18T what logo is underneath the AE one on the reciever?

Answer: Thunder Tiger.

AE are reducing the amounts made in the US. It is much cheaper to have Thunder Tiger mould parts e.t.c

I went into modelsport in otley once - I was thinking of buying a MGT thing. There was the AE MGT and the Thunder Tiger version of the same truck..
I already knew they were the same thing, and the Thunder Tiger version was 50 quid less.

vicky asked why the thunder tiger was cheaper - and the guy said that thunder tiger use cheaper plastics! and the quality wasn't as high as the AE version

Sorry modelsport, I thought it was funny.

I doubt AE will release an 1/10 4wd electric off-road buggy. Electric off-road is getting smaller and smaller while 1/8 off-road is getting bigger and bigger here in the U.S. They haven't even released their RC8 yet and haven't even mentioned a truggy version. Maybe they would produce a 4wd if they are still popular in the rest of the world, but over here in the states, smelly, noisy, and truck bodies sell. Dame shame too.

There are a few manufacturers I would love to see add an off roader to their range. Xray, Corrally and a new home grown Schumacher would all be great news for the class. Can't see it happening though, I just thought that all the pieces were in place for AE to get one sorted pretty quickly. They are working on the new TC5 by all accounts so the diffs are sorted straight off. It just seems that even if it was a parts bin special, that they would still be able to create a competitive buggy that would do well in the stores.
The MADE IN USA/made in china only seems to be on the newer stuff. The old packages with the Stars and Stripes at the top is only USA, the new blue packaging has its Chinese origins printed in the bottom left!! Well spotted Jimmy!

Gary Owen, nice block he was in the Uk for the NEC thing a few years ago, he phoned me to congratulate me on my last ever welsh regional win with my b4.

not every day a random getS a phone call from an American big wig.

For the last 2 years running the 1/10th electric off road has been fully booked with 130 drivers doing 2wd and 4wd. We have 6 National events in the UK and this year 2wd will go up 150 drivers to conpensate. 2005 we had 2 of the Losi boys come over on the way back from the Worlds warm up and they found it very hard to keep up. This National events over powers any other meeting in this country at the moment.

Im guessing the made in China refers to the actual piece of card and the USA refers to the parts in the bag ??

Dude, do you think, Mick might just be following orders from AE....?? I know, with the worlds coming up, if I was going to launch a 4wd, I would want it hush hush as much as possible....
