Dan, it's much better than xx4 - as it is a proper one way bearing rather than ratchet like xx4 is, but yeah you have the idea.

Looks good Oliv - but then you knew that!

We should clone Olivier so every brand could have one on its team... Oh wait, just give him every car available and he will make wonders

Olivier: Send a CV + details of some of your work to all the car manufacturers. You should be working full time with RC development!

Does it hurt to have such a big brain?

Now I want a CAT just because of you!

Dan, I don't think so, 'cause due to my job I plan to move at the beginning of 2009 with my wife and children. There will be lot of things to manage else than RC stuff

Beware of the CAT, it doesn't like cold countries, it will rather prefer to stay at home than run outdoor

Other than a lack of space, there's also the problem that you need exactly the same amount of friction for both sides. And weight. It'd be one heavy mofo of a diff.

Hi Bruno !!!

During my X-5 period, I was thinking about a thrust bearing in each oneway outdrive, plus some Belleville washers in one of the outdrive, and a long screw through all these parts. As for friction function, what about two thin PTFE washer between each outdrive an oneway body ?

This way we can expect to have same friction effect on left and right side

I agree the thickness of thrust bearing + Belleville washers + head screw could be enormous regarding the available space
