Default Sanwa TX controlling two RX??

I'm new to Sanwa, but is this normal?

If my lad has his MT-S TX set to "model-1", he races quite merrily with his 2wd. When we go to race 4wd, if he forgets to change the model, and leaves the TX set to "model-1", they TX "talks" to the RX in the 4wd such that it will pull away when he pulls the throttle, but the steering is uncontrollable...

When he switches his TX to "model-2" the problem is resolved, and the 4wd behaves itself.

Is this normal? I know on Spekky that the TX and RX wouldn't talk at all unless they were on the correct model.

This seems quite strange...

Sounds about right.

If I forget to switch models on the TX it still works with my other RXs, just trim and end points are obviously all over the place.

I'm guessing when you bind the receiver it doesn't distinguish between model selection on the TX.

This is on an Exzes X for reference

Hmmm. I wonder what happens if you have two cars switched on at the same time!

both cars to the same things...

I've seen a car fly off table and race about the pits when the racer was starting to race his 2nd class.

I've also head of a car that was put on the seat of a real car, after packing up, then the driver went off to race their 2nd class. They came back to the interior of the (real) car shredded to bits by the spinning wheels of the car left on, whilst racing. Always disconnect the battery after your race!
