Jay. Those photos are bloody amazing!

Do you do do photography for a living? The last photo is nice, ugly car though, but awesome photo.

Once again, cracking photos. Really top notch. Welcome to the forum

Jay, the picture of the CTS is amazing.

One of the other pictures looks like Laguna Seca to me, do you live in Cali? I'm down in San Diego.

Cheers
Chris

Thanks for the complements guys. No, I don't put food on the table with photography...... I am an Engineer/Program Manager by day. I kinda gave up the Motorsport Photography thing just over a year ago. I was spending too much money on travel, out of my own pocket and grew tired of "competition" and attitudes with other photographers. Sometimes I thought I was in high school! I do miss it though. I didn't do it for the money, did it cause I love it, truely relaxes me.

No, I don't live in Cali, just moved to Alabama from Michigan. I am a Ford nut, so when Ford was the marquee at the Historics at Seca a few years ago, I had to go. It was awesome.

The CTS-V might be ugly, but they are cool to see run. Nothing like a de-tuned Vette motor in a 4-door!

Thanks again.

The 20d is a bit old now but it's a fantastic camera mines still going strong even after 40k shots being ran through it in the 2 1/2 years i've had it. I probably wont upgrade untill this breaks or I suddenly become magically rich so I can afford a 1D.

When i picked it up it just felt like it fell into my hand perfectly and all the buttons were in just the right places, it seems a smaller camera compared to some and i like that; i have fairly small hands.

Im still trying to persuade my dad, i recon i need my own DSLR for my photography course at college, wouldnt you agree?

Deffinately! You can learn so much more with a dlsr because it lets you see the effects different things have in real time and the 20d has more than capable of tackling anything i've thrown at it so far.

I was looking at the prices of 20D's the other day and they are absolute steals for just over £200 for fairly low shutter count. They are very sturdy, i've bashed mine about dropped it got it soaking went and given it loads of abuse and it just keeps taking pictures. Mine has recently started occasionally freezing, I think im gonna get some compressed air and blow out all battery, cf card and other contacts to make sure it's not something there causing it.

Im just trying to decide on what to do for this trackpower competition, I have a few shots I took tonight and a few more idea's to try if we get the weather!

More and more great stuff appearing on this thread and some fresh contributors too Josh, whilst lenses are more important than the body I think you're probably on the right lines going for a higher quality 'used' body than a new, base level one.

Not done much photographic lately, just tested a couple of lenses I've 'acquired'...

...they seem to work okay.

And I cobbled together a quick n' dirty generic portfolio type site HERE - it's little more than a holding page or point of presence, but feedback/suggestions are welcome.
