Default What tyres are you guys running?

Just picked up a YZ-2, Batley is my most local club and wanted to know what tyres I should be starting out with.

Mini pins? mini spikes? compound? Any particular brand?

Generally most tracks you might visit (indoor or outdoors) Schumacher yellow mini spikes or mini pins will work in the dry. You can't go wrong with these.

At the new astro track at the first meeting we found that minipins give a bit better grip, but wear rate is quite high. We are trailing some other tyres and compounds to find a recommended club tyre.

Front tyres for the YZ2, schumacher cut staggers or stagger ribs again in yellow.

Awesome thanks for the reply.

I won't have all my kit together for a couple of weeks but will keep my eye out to see you guys get on in regards to a reccomended club tyre.

Would probably try yellow mini spikes just for abit more longevity.

Went with yellow mini spikes on the rear w/ medium insert and yellow cut staggers on the front w/ no insert. Had the question of low profile staggers or not, I went with not.
