Eric/Woody,

Referees - Yes marshall 10 (Senior/Experienced Racer)
Scruteneering - Size only / any tyres
Trophies - No
Booking in fee's - normally £7.00 for online booking in or £15.00 for on the day booking in (per class)

Both classes on one day, one leg finals for all (Avoid Kampenhaut Belgium GP weekend lol!!)

People that book in for all events get prority over people only booking in for one or two.

Run Southport Regonal after the National as there is the Easter Egg meeting just before the national.

Failure to marshall your heat, you loose your fastest time. Failure to marshall your final, your disqualified.

Tony

I agree with everything tony just said as for tracks can we not use all 6 clubs that are listed , then it be best 4 out of 6 rounds , go back too both classes on same day , then theres plenty of time for club events inbetween , this is my opinion anyways

How about two classes on one day, but you can only run one?

Who are Stoke do they have a 1/10 club?

Stoke is mainly a 8th club but they run 10th also. They have held Regionals for the Mid West in the past and they have enjoyed running the meetings so as its about an hours drive for most of us in the North West then I thought it maybe ok to go to.

2WD
R1 = 83 , R2 = 63, R3 = 54, R4 = 47

4WD
R1 = 54 , R2 = 22, R3 = 49, R4 = 28

With the exception of 2WD Rnd 1 the attendances are not really big enough to justify meetings of split classes. The problem with running on the same day however is that more people choose to do 2 classes. Its a choice between a rock and a hard place.

I don't know if 2 classes on one day, but drivers restricted to one class could be an option?

You can't limit people to only one class if its a BRCA series.

100 drivers a day is getting a bit long though.

Can you not take the less popular ones and put them in a single day? The club still gets the same on booking in fees but just free's up extra dates?

I like this idea of a big price gap between pre-booking and turning up on the day (assuming its admissable for regionals), and also what Mid-West do of putting late entries in the bottom heats.

Its means nobody has to be turned away on the day, but the encouragement will mean most will pre-book so the host club can have a good anticpation of what to expect.

In the Mid-West if you book in late you get put in the bottom heat and pay more and dont get a practice!!!! Also if you have booked in and don't turn up that frowned on too (which is good)

I would prefer going back to running both classes on the same day as last year had too many regionals that caused a detrimental effect on our club numbers, due to less club meetings. As a few people have said with the exception of Southport and Bury, running both on the same day is ok weather depending, but we are racing off road

Not convinced Stoke is truly a NW club and it is a long way for SLMCC and Barrow member to travel.

We will have a discussion at our next meeting to cover all points and feedback.

an event at lancashire dirt areana would be fantastic
thw nw would have meeting on astro grass and dirt , what a great local series, and a good chance for people to learn and use more setups for differant surfaces, and maybe find new skills to suit
also its indoor so rain is not an issue
it is a nw series after all

I would go for a meeting with just a rep from each club again, say in the next 2 weeks if possible . Each club should of had a meeting by that point to give there reps there views hopes and wishes ect . stoke is a trek from my end of the nw but thats just my view .

Can I just say Stoke will be fantastic addition to our regonal series...

It's a very good track and like Bury it has grip when it's wet.

God knows why the mid-west are not hoisting a meeting there. But we should.

i think there needs to be a club rep meeting asap to sort this out!!!!
but also thought it was the north west region we wer in. stoke is a hell of a drive for the northen clubs like south lakes and barrow ,, thik its like 2 hours from south lakes and 2 1/2 hours from barrow,,, and vice versa from stoke.

Yes true but Barrow and south lakes meant a 3hr+ train journey + an overnight stay for me and Chris last season, lugging around haulers and backpacks etc ...we still attended all the 2wd rounds!

Come on... here we have a chance to race at another different venue!! Lets get excited about it not think of reasons we'd rather not bother!

Stoke is only a few more junctions down the M6.... in fact Stoke is closer than Barrow for most of us, even if you live as far North as Southport! I've just been on google maps!

i think it was better when both classes was run on the same day its only southport where there was a problem also seems theres lots of people race at there own track BUT dont do enough of the series to count so should do book in and pay for all the series and them that do that get entry first { WHERE EVER THEY FROM } also deffo do stoke as more venues the better

I don't want to be restricted to one class if I have to I will do both classes in one day the more racing for me. I need the practice due to only being able to race every other week. New clubs sounds good to me and stoke looks ace.

no matter weather there club members or not no preference should be give to them to book in, first come first served job done,
book in on line cheaper to do that as well, and as far as it being to far to race then don't go run at the local ones
I'm sure the people from the other end of Manchester could say the same its to far to south lakes ,which is why we don't travel there and didn't last year bar one run,
i agree with one day both classes as well,
is croston dirt a brca affiliated club, and do they have to be to race regionals,?
as far as saying northwest should be northwest get a grip the more the merrier
priority should also go to the people that book in for more events

rant over
and ill come to the meeting if its a open one
